No Vertical Scar Breast Reduction

We offer a specialized version of Breast Reduction surgery that does not leave a vertical scar under the breast. It only leaves a circular scar that defines the nipple areola complex and a horizontal scar hidden in the fold of the breast.

Dr. Feldman and Dr. Raniere offer this procedure, but it is not available to every patient. It depends upon the size of your breast and the size of your areola. The larger the breast and the smaller the areola, the better your chance of qualifying for this surgery. Dr. Feldman and Dr. Raniere invite you to schedule a consultation for this procedure.

The No Vertical Scar technique may be covered under your insurance plan just like a standard Reduction Mammoplasty. Our office staff will be pleased to check your coverage and help you navigate the steps needed to satisfy your insurance company. Dr. Feldman and Dr. Raniere will write a letter to your insurance company requesting “pre-determination” for insurance coverage. We perform the surgery while you are under general anesthesia in our State Licensed, Certified Surgi-Center or at a local hospital, depending upon your insurance plan coverage.

The procedure causes minimal discomfort, but you will require some TLC at home. You are usually able to return to your normal daily activities in less than one week and may resume full activity in three to four weeks.
