Gynecomastia
WHO IS A CANDIDATE?
If you experience:
- Excess localized fat of the breast
- Excess glandular tissue development
- A combination of both excess fat and
glandular tissue
INTENDED RESULTS:
- A more natural male contour.
- Enhance
your self-image and confidence.
PRECEDURE DESCRIPTION:
- The procedure is done on an outpatient
basis under sedation and local or general
anesthesia.
- If the gynecomastia is mainly excess
breast tissue or fat, liposuction alone
may be used.
- If the gynecomastia has significant
amount of excess skin, excisional techniques
will be required.
RECUPERATION AND HEALING:
- Dressings or bandages will be applied
to your incisions and an elastic bandage
or support garment may be used to minimize
swelling.
- A small, thin tube may be temporarily
placed to drain any excess blood that
may collect.
- Initial healing will include swelling
and discomfort at the incision sites.
- Discomfort is easily controlled with
oral medication.
- Sutures are usually removed within
5 to 10 days.
- Light activity is usually within a
few days of surgery.
INSURANCE GUIDELINES:
It is usually not covered by insurance.
