In recent years, the idea of having plastic surgery has become less taboo. But its seat in the limelight doesn’t necessarily mean it’s right for you. Today’s world seems to offer solutions for every little imperfection, but the decision to undergo surgery should be well thought out.
Receiving a surgical procedure is nothing to take lightly and should only be done to please yourself—not others. If you are unhappy with the shape and size of your nose, Advanced Aesthetics Plastic Surgery Center is here to help. We can perform a procedure called rhinoplasty to enhance your appearance and improve the function of your nose.
When to Consider Nose Surgery
As you’re aware, the nose sits front and center of your face. So its dominating presence is generally not appreciated when you’re uncomfortable with the way it looks. A nose surgery can provide facial symmetry by changing its entire structure.
Whether you find it too big, too small, too wide or too narrow—one of our qualified surgeons can restructure it to your liking. A rhinoplasty procedure can also reduce large, unsightly humps and rework the nose to be more proportionate with the rest of your facial features.
But did you know a nose job can also provide medical benefits? Many of our patients seek surgery due to birth defects, injuries or other nose conditions. If you suffer with a cleft lip or palate, (We don’t do cleft palates) or have a severely damaged nose from a traumatic injury, a rhinoplasty procedure may be able to correct your concerns.
Occasionally,(take out occasionally) we are able to treat patients who have a condition called a deviated septum and have extreme difficulty breathing through the nose. At our Atlanta surgery center, we can help to restore this uncomfortable condition with a nose surgery.
What to Expect During the Procedure
The Board-Certified surgeons of Advanced Aesthetics perform what’s called an open rhinoplasty. After being placed under general anesthesia, you will receive multiple tiny incisions: one at the base of the nose and one through each side of the nostrils.
Following your procedure, you are free to recover from the comfort of your own home. You can expect some significant bruising and swelling after your nose surgery, and it may take about 12 weeks to notice your final results.
Many of our patients return to their normal daily routine, like working, after about one week. But as you heal, we suggest limiting your strenuous activities and heavy lifting to ensure your newly-sculpted nose stays undamaged.
Whether you are dealing with a damaged nose from injury or accident, a congenital medical condition or are displeased with the aesthetic shape of your nose, a rhinoplasty procedure can help add confidence back into your life.
